Punta Brava is the southernmost point in Montevideo, perhaps in the entire country. (You can see it on thismap of Montevideo

.) It's a mixed-use place. There's the lighthouse, a navy base, a sewerage treatment plant, a restaurant, the fishing clubs
, and parking lots where people drink mate and enjoy the view of the Río
. There seems to be some kind of plan to develop a docking site for the Buquebus ferry, or maybe for cruise ships, but I'm not sure about that.
